What is a baby bat called?

A baby bat is called a pup. Pups are born blind and hairless, but they quickly develop fur and their eyesight within a few weeks. They are typically cared for by their mother until they are able to fly and hunt for food on their own. Pups are very playful and social, often playing with each other and their mothers. They are born in nursery colonies, where they huddle close together for warmth and protection. Baby bats are born in the spring or summer and are weaned off their mother's milk after a few weeks.
